In 1933, he was sent to work in Khabarovsk in the Soviet Far East, where he served as deputy editor of the Chinese edition of Workers’ Path. In 1937, he was imprisoned due to false accusations by Wang Ming, Kang Sheng, and others. He was killed in the Soviet Union in 1939. In 1962, he was posthumously recognized as a revolutionary martyr.
