Xikeng Ancient Architectural Complex
The Xikeng Ancient Architectural Complex is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang Province.
The Xikeng Ancient Architectural Complex is located in Xikeng Village, Jingling Town. The village is rich in Xikeng bluestone, and its stone carvings have been listed among the first batch of intangible cultural heritage of Shaoxing City. The complex includes four ancestral halls — the Upper Twenty-Four-Room Hall, Lower Twenty-Four-Room Hall, Upper Eaves-Head Hall, and Thirteen-Room Hall — which are separated only by narrow lanes, embodying the ancestral tradition of "separate households under one clan, united as one family." The architecture features exquisite craftsmanship and detailed carvings, highlighting distinct local characteristics. It reflects the material production, lifestyle, ideologies, and customs of the time. Moreover, descendants of the Chen family still reside here, maintaining many traditional ways of life, making it one of the important examples of traditional bloodline-based villages.

Xikeng Village boasts a long history, rich cultural heritage, and numerous historic sites. Well-preserved ancient residences have recently attracted several film and TV crews for location shooting. The folk art form known as the "Music Pavilion" has been included in the historical and cultural heritage protection list. In addition, the area is also known for its specialty, Xikeng bluestone.
