Shuikou Stone Pagoda

Shuikou Stone Pagoda is located on the eastern slope of Datian Mountain in Maoshe Township, about 20 kilometers west of Huangyan District, Zhejiang. The stone pagoda has six sides and five tiers, with each side of every tier carved with vivid stone Buddha statues. It features stone bracket sets forming the eaves and a pavilion-style top. The base is intricately carved with dragons and lions. Nestled against the mountain and beside a stream, the site is where two sources of the Jiuxi Stream—the Dali and Xiaoli—merge, their waters crystal clear. To the south of the pagoda is the General’s Temple, which enshrines Wen Tianxiang along with anti-Yuan heroes such as Du Hu, Mou Dachang, and Mou Tian. Shuikou Stone Pagoda was built in the 44th year of the Wanli era during the Ming Dynasty (1616). It is now a provincial-level cultural heritage protection unit.
