Dayoudong Palace on Weiyu Mountain is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Dayoudong Palace on Weiyu Mountain is located in Xicheng Subdistrict, Huangyan District, Taizhou City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Weiyu Mountain Cave is located two kilometers south of downtown Huangyan. Weiyu Mountain, also known as Guyishan Valley, is a small hill. On the northeastern side of the mountain, there is a deep, ancient cave about two meters wide and high, which Taoist scriptures refer to as the “Second Grotto-Heaven” among the “Ten Great Grotto-Heavens of the World.” The cave entrance is engraved with four large characters reading “Second Grotto-Heaven.” In front of the cave, there are halls, pavilions, and towers, surrounded by lush pines, cypresses, flowers, and plants.

After visiting the site, Xie Lingyun, a poet from the Jin Dynasty, wrote: “The square stone atop the mountain lies still; flowers at the cave’s mouth bloom on their own. No one is seen riding the crane’s back, only green moss covering the ground.” In the grand palace, there is a couplet that reads: “Immortals dwell freely in this ancient cave; the crane’s feathers remain here as a trace.” Around the cave, many square stones can be found, shining with variegated hues, along with relics such as “Dayoudong Palace,” “Dayoudong Pavilion,” and “Welcoming Immortals Bridge.”

On January 13, 2017, the People's Government of Zhejiang Province announced it as part of the seventh batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Xicheng Subdistrict: Xicheng Subdistrict of Huangyan District is located in the western suburbs of downtown Huangyan, covering an area of approximately 25.5 square kilometers. It governs 22 administrative villages and 12 communities, with a total population of around 62,788.
