Rouchuan Scenic Area is located upstream of the Changtan Reservoir in Huangyan. The entire township has a forest coverage rate of 88.7%, making it a true “natural oxygen bar.” The scenic area maintains pristine natural landscapes, with local residences built along the mountains and streams, creating a distinctive rural charm alongside the surrounding mountains, streams, trees, and bamboo.

Budai Mountain Scenic Area is situated on a branch of the Kuocang Mountain Range, 40 kilometers from Huangyan city center, at an altitude of 510 meters, with an average annual temperature of around 15°C, offering a pleasant climate. The scenic area consists of three major sections: Maitreya Valley, Budai River Rafting, and the Ancient Village Scenic Area. Legend has it that during the late Tang Dynasty, the monk Budai traveled here and left behind numerous peaks resembling the likeness of the Maitreya Buddha. Maitreya Valley features deep, serene valleys, cascading waterfalls, and numerous pools, blending ruggedness with softness and exuding an untamed, profound charm. Budai River Rafting is a military-style adventure rafting experience, full of excitement, challenges, and thrills. The Ancient Village Scenic Area, Budai Pit Village, is a beautiful small village hidden within layers of lush mountains. With flowing streams, ancient bridges, narrow lanes, wooden houses, stone walls, terraced fields, and bamboo groves, it offers a quaint charm and presents picturesque scenes of harmony between humans and nature. The Twelve Scenic Spots of Budai Mountain are: Lion Guarding the Valley, Universe in a Pot, Old Monk Listening to the Spring, Splendor of Dinghu Lake, Twin Dragons Playing with the Waterfall, Mountain Cloud Shadows, Flying Pavilion with Flowing Vermilion, Peach Blossom Spring Village, Autumn Moon over the Buffalo Pool, Azure Skies in the Ninth Heaven, Corridor Bridge with Breezy Elegance, and Pilgrimage to Maitreya.
