Gexian Tea Garden has a long history, according

to the *Tiantai Mountain Annals*: “During the late Eastern Han Dynasty, the tea plantation cultivated by Ge Xuan had already reached Huading Peak.” The few tea trees at the mouth of Guiyun Cave are called the “Tea Ancestors” and remain thriving to this day. Every year in April and May, when the fragrant misty tea blossoms, it coincides with the season when the large red and yellow Rhododendron fortunei are in full bloom, presenting Huading Peak as a scene reminiscent of a “heavenly paradise on earth.”
