Tiantai Museum

The Tiantai Museum is located next to the Guoqing Temple Scenic Area, covering an area of 17,400 square meters with a building area of over 5,900 square meters. It was designed by the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University. The museum buildings are staggered and built along the natural terrain, with winding paths leading to serene spots, integrating modern architectural concepts while featuring distinct local cultural characteristics and a contemporary vibe.

The museum is divided into two sections: the exhibition area and the administrative area. The exhibition area houses five exhibition halls, while the administrative area includes an artifact storage room, offices, a resource room, meeting rooms, an artifact restoration lab, an audiovisual room, and an expert residence. Functions are categorized into archaeology, cultural relics preservation, public services, collections management, exhibition design, artifact restoration, and security.

The museum boasts a rich and diverse collection of cultural relics and specimens, with a total of over 6,000 items. Among them are many first-, second-, and third-grade precious artifacts. The collections include ceramics, bronzes, calligraphy and paintings, ancient books, and miscellaneous items, comprehensively reflecting the historical and cultural features of Tiantai Mountain. They hold significant historical, cultural, artistic, and scientific value.
