Prague Farm is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Established in March 2008, Prague Farm covers an area of 550 acres and is located approximately 40 kilometers from the center of Beijing. It is the closest comprehensive modern sightseeing agricultural project with a herb theme to the city center. The farm is situated by the Canal Bridge in Litang Town, southeast of Tongzhou District, Beijing, near the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway and the Beijing-Tanggu Highway, offering very convenient transportation.

In line with the modern concept of returning to nature for health and leisure, the farm integrates resource conservation and environmental protection awareness throughout all aspects of its unique agricultural projects. Utilizing the natural barriers of woods and the canal, the farm is nestled in a serene atmosphere. Simple fences and herb-filled gardens create the rustic yet mysterious romance of Prague, evoking a feeling of a pastoral paradise.

Prague Farm is the largest herb plantation base in Beijing, with over a hundred varieties of herbs planted. Here, you can almost experience the scents of herbs from around the world. Among them, lavender occupies the largest planting area, allowing people to enjoy the romance of lavender without traveling all the way to Japan or even Europe.

The farm is equipped with a large ecological parking lot that can accommodate 150 cars, as well as fully equipped photography studios and background facilities. It serves as an ideal vacation destination for customers of all backgrounds for spring outings, academic exchanges, artistic creation, business meetings, and outdoor weddings.

Among them, lavender occupies the largest planting area. The scent of lavender is like a semi-conscious dreamlike state in life—so subtle it’s barely there, yet it leaves a deep impression. When these light purple flowers bloom, their fragrance can be detected from miles away. Even more remarkable is that when you stand within a vast field of blooms, the scent remains soft and mild, unlike other fragrant flowers that try too hard to overwhelm you.

When the romance and mystery of two of the world’s most famous attractions descend like sprites to quietly appear in the ancient outskirts of Beijing, they bring with them a naturally intimate romantic countryside—“Prague Farm.” Here, you’ll find the lush lavender of Provence and the European charm of Prague.

Endless fields of lavender exude a rich, ripe herbal fragrance. Rows of lavender stretch far into the distance, and when sunlight shines on the flower clusters, it creates a purplish golden glow. Under the moonlight, the scene takes on a different kind of romance.

Driving Directions

Self-driving Route: Due to ongoing repairs on the national highway, some routes are inaccessible. Recommended driving directions are as follows:

[Route 1] Take National Highway 103, turn left at the Mizi Store intersection (look for the Sinopec gas station), continue straight along Mixi West Road for four kilometers. The cube-shaped building on the left side of the road is the destination.

[Route 2] Take the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway, exit at Litang, turn right and go straight onto National Highway 103. Then turn left at the Mizi Store intersection (look for the Sinopec gas station), continue straight along Mixi West Road for four kilometers. The cube-shaped building on the left side of the road is the destination.

Public Transport: From Dabeiyao, Beijing Railway Station, or Tujiao Station on Metro Line Batong, take bus 938 to Litang Mizi Store. Then transfer to a local private taxi to reach Prague Farm.

Litang Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Tongzhou District. From the Song and Liao dynasties to the Qing Dynasty, it successively hosted provincial and county government offices, making it the foremost town in southeastern Beijing at the time. In 1949, it became Matou District; in 1956, it was divided into Matou Township and Litang Township; in 1958, it was renamed Matou Commune; in 1980, it became Litang Commune; in 1983, it was re-established as Litang Township; and in 1990, it was upgraded to a town. Located in the central part of the district, it covers an area of 43 square kilometers with a population of 25,000. The Grand Canal, Liangshui River, and Fenggang River flow through the area, and the Beijing-Tianjin Highway passes by.
