Beijing is the heart of China, with countless business professionals commuting through it every day. Among them, many also travel to the capital’s suburbs for business meetings or leisure getaways. Today, let us introduce you to an imperial retreat in the eastern suburbs of Beijing—Yanjiao.

Yanjiao has long been a crucial town near the capital, named for its location on the outskirts of the Yan State capital (today's Beijing) during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. It lies east of the Chaobai River, facing Tongzhou District across the river to the west. It is approximately 30 kilometers as the crow flies from Tiananmen Square and just a 25-minute drive away. Situated at the core of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan metropolitan area, it is also the industrial development zone closest to Tiananmen in the country. Nowadays, Yanjiao is not merely a satellite city of Beijing but has become an excellent platform integrating itself into the Beijing-Tianjin region, overlooking the entire nation, and connecting with the world. Various high-tech enterprises have established their presence here. Additionally, Yanjiao boasts abundant educational resources. Six major universities are located in the area, clustered or scattered, with a total of nearly 100,000 college students, presenting tremendous consumer potential.

In addition, I also observed that the marketing strategy of Paiyun Business Express Hotel is quite meticulous, appropriate, and well-balanced. The hotel has developed a fairly comprehensive market strategy tailored to Yanjiao’s unique geographical and cultural environment.

Paiyun Business Express Hotel is located in the Yanjiao Economic Development Zone in East Beijing, on Yanling Road, which connects to the national highway, offering convenient transportation. The hotel combines refinement, fashion, and comfort. It offers various room types including business standard rooms, business double rooms, leisure business rooms, leisure single rooms, and standard double rooms. Facilities such as broadband internet, cable TV, air conditioning, and water heaters are fully equipped, providing an elegant and comfortable environment.

The population structure of Yanjiao is relatively complex, including college students, local workers, employees working in Beijing, business personnel, researchers, migrant workers, and more. In response, Paiyun Business has set different room standards for various tiers, focusing mainly on college students and businesspeople, achieving a rational allocation of room resources. There are also appropriate preferential policies in place.

At the same time, Paiyun Business maintains close ties with campuses, sponsoring various public welfare activities for college students and paying attention to the healthy growth of today’s youth.

In other market aspects, Paiyun Business actively engages in deep cooperation with various service industries such as entertainment venues, restaurants, travel agencies, beauty and fitness centers, aiming for mutual rapid development.

Finally, when I was leaving, I noticed that the hotel’s business cards had a note stating: “All guests can be reimbursed for the base fare of their taxi upon check-in by presenting the day’s taxi receipt.” Such thoughtful attention to detail is truly commendable. It solves the hassle of finding a hotel for guests, provides customer benefits, and increases the number of guests, establishing a positive image among consumers. Truly killing two birds with one stone.

Confident yet not arrogant, relaxed yet not ostentatious, extraordinary yet not fanatical, bold yet still composed—the art of balance is fully embodied in Paiyun Business Hotel. At the end of this piece, I’m reminded of a seven-character quatrain by the Tang Dynasty poet Liu Yuxi: “A crane cleaves the clouds in a clear sky, drawing poetic thoughts to the azure heights!”
