The Fifth Production Team Xinghu Green Ecological Sightseeing Park is located in Taihu Village, Taihu Town, Tongzhou District. It boasts abundant agricultural resources and excellent transportation access. The park is surrounded by the Sixth Ring Road, the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway, the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Expressway, and Tongma Road. It takes only 20 minutes to drive from Tiananmen Square to the Fifth Production Team.

The Fifth Production Team Xinghu Green Ecological Sightseeing Park is divided into five major functional areas:

Green Restaurant: Covering an area of 12,000 square meters, this facility features a light steel structure, with tropical plants planted inside to create a natural landscape environment. It can accommodate up to 2,000 diners at once. The project is planned with an investment of 23 million yuan and is set to open to the public by the end of September 2003. This is an interior view of the completed green restaurant. To highlight the green theme, a large number of tropical plants are grown inside the restaurant, creating a spring-like atmosphere all year round. Each small dining area is separated by green plant walls, replacing traditional brick-and-mortar structures.

Four-Season Water Park: Spanning 20,000 square meters, it includes an outdoor bathing area that combines a wave pool, water slides, and a sandy beach.

Folk Village: Traditional-style farmsteads with Northeastern and North China architectural designs are built, each covering 200 square meters, offering accommodation for visitors.

Eco-Cultivation Area: With an area of 8,000 square meters, it grows a variety of natural, green, and environmentally friendly fruits and vegetables. It also includes a green livestock farm: featuring 700 artificially raised pigsties, as well as the capability to raise chickens, ducks, dogs, rabbits, and sheep simultaneously. These mainly serve as raw material suppliers for the green restaurant. A small amount of trial breeding has already begun. Here, visitors can also participate in on-site feeding to experience authentic farm life.

Youth Science Education & Practice Base: Themed around “Ecology, Folk Culture, Science, and Practice,” it allows young people to gain knowledge while taking part in various social practice activities.

Taihu Village: The 19 uniquely styled folk courtyards in Taihu Village can accommodate over 120 tourists at the same time. Folk tourism hosts offer distinctive farmhouse meals such as cornmeal pancakes stewed with small fish, chicken with rolled pancakes, and chicken-braised tofu. Each household has its own dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and flush toilet.

Staff members undergo regular health check-ups to ensure they are in good health, and the village holds a collective health permit. Here, you can enjoy authentic rural flavors and experience the warm, sincere hospitality of the local folk culture.
