The Damushan Cycling Tea Plantation, located in Hengxi Village, Xinxing Town, Songyang County, is a model of ecological tea plantations in Songyang. The core area of the scenic zone spans over 2,300 acres, featuring rolling hills, numerous reservoirs, and cycling paths winding through the picturesque landscape, where the fragrance of tea fills the air.

The Damushan Cycling Tea Plantation is China’s first cycling tea plantation scenic area, located in Xinxing Town — known as China’s No. 1 Green Tea Town. The scenic area encompasses over 80,000 acres of tea plantations, with a core zone of more than 3,000 acres. It features an 8.3-kilometer recreational cycling loop, a 7-kilometer professional off-road track, and offers seven main types of tourism resources, including the Maoshan National Forest Park and the Songyin River Scenic Belt, with 19 subcategories and 44 basic types. The area has a mid-subtropical monsoon climate with favorable conditions; in 2014, it recorded 313 days of good air quality and 100% compliance in water environment quality.

On January 7, 2004, Comrade Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, visited the Damushan Tea Plantation and proposed the guidance of "practical work to revitalize the tea industry and boost prosperity among the people." Since then, the tea industry in Songyang has entered a fast track of development, rapidly expanding from primary production to the higher ends of the secondary and tertiary industry chains, eventually forming a leading domestic full-industry-chain model that has generated tremendous benefits. The Damushan Cycling Tea Plantation has witnessed and led the growth and success of Songyang’s tea industry in terms of resources, scale, technology, branding, and market, rightfully earning titles such as "Ministry of Agriculture Standard Tea Plantation Demonstration Zone" and "National Green Tea Production Demonstration Base."

A series of honors, including "Zhejiang Province’s Outstanding Sports and Leisure Project," "2013 Zhejiang Tourism Awards for Best New Tourism Format," and "Zhejiang People’s Favorite Most Ecological Leisure Scenic Area," stand as the best proof and highest recognition.

Hengxi Village: Hengxi Village is a renowned tea-specialized village in Songyang County, with a total tea plantation area of 1,100 acres. Among its 306 households, over 95% are engaged in tea planting and processing. The village is home to 38 tea processing enterprises, which process over 800 tons of tea annually, and houses the country’s first standardized fresh tea trading market, covering an area of 3,000 square meters with more than 2,000 stalls, generating an annual transaction volume of 34.5 million yuan.
