Located 4 kilometers southeast of the county town, Yuquan Cuihua Scenic Area is a leisure resort centered around eco-tourism, outdoor barbecues, and water recreation. The main attraction is a botanical park spanning over 400 acres, which includes a 100-acre botanical specimen garden showcasing 64 families and 230 native tree species from southern China, such as Emmenopterys henryi, Bretschneidera sinensis, ginkgo, Phoebe bournei, Phoebe chekiangensis, Ulmus elongata, and Parakmeria lotungensis. There is also an 80-acre seed garden of liriodendron, the best-preserved in southern Zhejiang, over 100 acres of nanmu and phyllostachys aurea bamboo forests, and a 120-acre research facility belonging to the Songyang Forestry Research Institute—one of Zhejiang’s eight major forestry institutes.
