Nanming Bridge

Nanming Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Songyang County.

Nanming Bridge (built in the 12th year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty): Located at the southern end of Nanzhi Street in the county town, it serves as a passage connecting Nanzhi Street and Xitan Road. Running from north to south, it is a two-arch stone bridge. The stone arches are built with horizontal courses of stone blocks laid in staggered joints, the bridge deck is paved with rectangular stone slabs, and the railings are constructed from long stone slabs. The western abutment’s retaining wall is inscribed with the three characters “Nanming Bridge,” and the eastern abutment’s retaining wall is inscribed with the four characters “Puji Qunsheng” (Relieve All Beings).

Protected area: A 2-meter buffer zone extending outward from all sides of the structure constitutes the protected area.

Construction control zone: A 20-meter buffer zone extending outward from all sides of the structure constitutes the construction control zone.
