The Former Residence of the Cai Family at Xisan is located in Xiping Subdistrict, Songyang County, and dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

On January 13, 2017, it was designated as part of the seventh batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province.

Xiping Subdistrict: Xiping Subdistrict is the seat of Songyang County and serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of the county. It is situated in the southeastern part of the Songgu Basin, 68 kilometers east of Lishui and 121 kilometers northeast of Jinhua City. The area enjoys convenient transportation, with Provincial Highway 50 running through it, and the under-construction Longli Expressway will integrate Songyang into Zhejiang’s four-hour economic circle.
