Yilong Sansa Scenic Area

The Yilong Sansa Scenic Area in Huhu Township is located in Sandui Village, Huhu Township, within the Shuichuyao Experimental Zone of the Baishanzu National Nature Reserve. The area is covered with towering ancient trees, including over 300 specimens such as Nyssa sinensis, Cunninghamia lanceolata var. konishii, and ancient cryptomerias. Among them, more than 180 have been registered and protected under Zhejiang Province’s Ancient and Famous Trees Preservation Program. The scenic area also features two historic ancient covered bridges. Among them, the Sandui Dian Bridge was first built in the 21st year of the Chenghua era (1485), with a total length of 14.90 meters, a clear span of 3.00 meters, an arch height of 4.00 meters, and a width of 4.15 meters. It has five covered bays. This region is one of the largest mixed ancient and famous tree landscape forests in the Baishanzu Nature Reserve and even in Qingyuan County.

Huhu Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Qingyuan County. Established in 1952 as Huhu Township, it was renamed Huhu Management Area in 1958, changed to a commune in 1961, and reverted to a township in 1984. Located in the northeastern part of the county, it borders Jingning She Autonomous County and is 63 kilometers from the county seat, at an elevation of 1,040 meters. Covering an area of 60.5 square kilometers, it has a population of 5,000. All villages in the township are connected by roads. It administers nine village committees: Huhu, Sandui, Xipai, Huangshui’ao, Jiuzhuyang, Lan’ni, Huangtuyang, Huangshui, and Kengdi.
