The Puyang River National Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area and a national wetland park.

The Puyang River National Water Conservancy Scenic Area includes the Tongji Bridge Reservoir and the urban stretch of the Puyang River. Following the overall layout of “one ring, one axis, two belts, three corridors, four cores, and five zones,” the scenic area is planned with the Puyang River as the central axis, water culture education as the loop, the riverbanks along the old urban section of the Puyang River as the folk culture restoration belt, the reservoir drawdown zone, reservoir tail beach area, and the artificial wetland in the lower reaches of the Puyang River as ecological restoration and protection belts, and the Tongji Bridge Reservoir, Cuihu Wetland, Jinshi Lake, and Sanjiangkou Wetland as core areas. It integrates a water ecological conservation zone, an urban and rural folk culture experience zone, a water culture sightseeing zone, a wetland education zone, and a modern agricultural sightseeing zone. The area is developed as a city-river-lake type water conservancy scenic area for water source protection, enhancement of water culture education, and public leisure and entertainment.
