The Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall was originally built during the Southern Song Dynasty, with the current structures dating back to the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 1,220 square meters, faces south, and features a central axis along which the entrance hall, central hall, connecting hall, worship hall, and sleeping hall are arranged in sequence. These are complemented by side chambers on both sides, forming a "lucky" (吉) character-shaped layout. The entire architectural complex is rigorously structured and features relatively exquisite carvings. The entrance hall is seven bays wide, the central hall is five bays wide, and the worship hall is also five bays wide, connected to the central hall via the connecting hall. The sleeping hall is five bays wide. In 1999, the Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall was converted into the Pujiang County Museum, where it continues to serve as the main building.

The Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall is a typical example of ancestral hall architecture, exhibiting distinct temporal and regional characteristics, and holds significant historical, cultural, and artistic value.
