The Sun Wukong Agricultural Sightseeing Area is situated in the experimental and tourism zone of the northwest part of the Dashan Mountain National Nature Reserve. The area features beautiful mountains and clear waters, minimal pollution, high water quality, a pleasant climate, and a superior ecological environment. With a forest coverage rate of over 80%, it is home to various woody plants such as pine, fir, bamboo, tung oil tree, camellia oleifera, tea, torreya, and chestnut. It currently has a high-altitude ecological orchard covering more than 2,400 acres, with over 800 acres planted with premium fruits such as kiwi, honey pear, bayberry, sweet persimmon, and chestnut. The flowers, fruits, leaves of the various fruit trees, along with wild mountain blossoms, create a picturesque scene of blooming spring and colorful autumn. The area also includes a medicinal herb garden focused on the conservation of wild medicinal plants, cultivating authentic herbs such as Atractylodes macrocephala, Corydalis yanhusuo, Paeonia lactiflora, Scrophularia ningpoensis, and Fritillaria thunbergii, as well as other valuable medicinal species. Leveraging the ecological advantages of the orchard, it is also equipped with a grazing farm for over a thousand herbivorous animals and a free-range area for tens of thousands of “mountain free-range chickens.”

The entire farm has been certified organic by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) and the Swiss Institute for Market Ecology (IMO), making it the first comprehensive organic farm in China to receive international recognition. The area is often shrouded in mist, offering a cool summer and a refreshing spring, with a very pleasant microclimate—ideal for vacationing and leisure. The area is characterized by its lush mountains full of flowers and fruit, tranquil surroundings, and high ecological quality. It serves as a multifunctional, comprehensive tourist destination integrating sightseeing, summer retreats, scientific research and education, as well as the protection of ecological environments and biodiversity.
