Haoxi Scenic Area

Haoxi Scenic Area is located in the southern part of Pan’an County, flanked by Dapan Mountain to the left and Qingming Peak to the right. With misty riverbanks and towering cliffs on both sides, the scenery here is enchanting.

Key attractions in the area include Hundred-Zhang Dragon Pool, Immortal Wind Jade Pillar, Huangtan —, Pantan Scenery, Cloud Mountain Eight Views, Dazhi Temple, Cannon Rock, and Waterfall Rock Cascades.

Haoxi was formerly known as Exi (Evil River) and also called Lishui. Its source originates from Daben Mountain, flows west then south where it joins Guanxi, and converges with various nearby streams. After passing at the foot of Xiandu Mountain, it is referred to as Lianxi, then enters Lishui County in the south where it is called Donggang. Further south, it flows into the Daxi River, becoming a tributary of the Ou River. The stream stretches 45 kilometers in length, featuring 59 rapids. Among them, Tuxing Rapid has large rocks scattered across the riverbed, upon which Wang Xizhi inscribed the three characters "Tuxing Rapid". Towering cliffs and bizarre rocks line both banks, creating picturesque scenery at every turn.
