Qixian Lake Wetland Park

Qixian Lake Wetland Park is located in Gao'er Township, Pan'an County, covering a total area of 6,264.9 mu, with an altitude of 1,148 meters and a forest coverage rate of 88%. It is one of the rare high-altitude wetland parks in China. The wetland park features wetland landscapes such as reservoir ponds, forest swamps, and meadow swamps, with its core area consisting of seven beaded mountain pond clusters. The park boasts rich biodiversity, including first-class nationally protected plants such as dawn redwood and water shield, as well as rare and endangered species like Huading azalea. Notably, the Azalea Valley within the park features over 30 varieties of azaleas, including Huading azalea, cloud brocade azalea, and large tree azalea. When spring arrives and flowers bloom, the colorful azaleas compete in beauty, creating a breathtaking scene that feels like a fairyland—hailed as “a unique wonder in central Zhejiang.”
