Juxi Upper Ancestral Hall

The Juxi Upper Ancestral Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Pan’an County.

The Juxi Upper Ancestral Hall dates back to the Republican era and is located in Juxi Village, Panfeng Township.

In December 2018, the Juxi Upper Ancestral Hall was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Pan’an County.

Juxi Village: known historically as Juchuan, it also had other ancient names such as Gui Chuan and Xianglu Harbor, but is now called Juxi. It is a stream originating from the mountains and flowing back into them, nestled in the mountainous region of central Zhejiang. Juxi Village is a natural village where, eight hundred years ago, an ancestor surnamed Kong settled by the stream. Over generations, it has grown into a large settlement with over 1,500 residents. The village is under the jurisdiction of Panfeng Township, Pan’an County. Historically part of Wuzhou (now Jinhua City), the village’s “Kong Family Temple” and its Kong-surnamed residents all belong to the “Kong Family Southern Branch of Wuzhou,” descendants of Confucius. They share the same lineage as the “Confucius Temple” and Kong family in Qufu, Shandong.
