In front of the gate, there is a cedar tree planted on each side, and on the right side stands a rectangular bluestone stele inscribed with “In Memory of Xuefeng” written by [calligrapher's name], while a black marble plaque inscribed with “Feng Xuefeng’s Former Residence” by Ding Ling is embedded on the wall beside the gate. Upon entering the gate, there is a half-length bronze statue of Feng Xuefeng in the courtyard, with two wing rooms on each side. The central bay of the entrance hall features a raised-beam structure, while the other bays use a through-tenon structure. The second floor was used for living, with lattice windows along the front eaves. The rear section serves as a hall, also using a through-tenon structure, with the central bay used for receiving guests and the side bays serving as the master bedroom. The first floor of the residence displays photographs and works reflecting various periods of Feng Xuefeng’s life, among other physical materials. The side rooms of the entrance hall also display farming and daily-life tools such as plows, rakes, windmills, spinning wheels, and stone mills. The second floor displays elegiac couplets and calligraphy and paintings mourning him, contributed by comrades, colleagues, and figures from the literary and art circles. Behind the residence, a flower-lined path leads to Feng Xuefeng’s cemetery, which was built in 2003 when his ashes were moved from Babaoshan in Beijing to Shentan Village by the local government.
