Yiwu Gymnasium

Yiwu Gymnasium is located on the west side of the beautiful Xiuhu Square in the city. It was built on October 10, 1989, with a construction area of 3,800 square meters and 1,600 spectator seats. The indoor full-court features wooden flooring and it serves as an all-weather, multi-functional venue. Its main functions include basketball, table tennis, martial arts, badminton, fitness and bodybuilding, as well as large-scale cultural performances.

Since its opening, it has successfully hosted various provincial, national, and international competitions and events. These include the China-South Korea Boxing Match, the National Women's Table Tennis Super League, the East China Table Tennis Championships, the China-US Basketball Invitational Tournament, and the Shangcheng Spring Cultural Evening, among others. These events have received unanimous praise from higher-level authorities and all sectors of society. With the goal of building an international commercial city, the venue has proposed new operational approaches: strengthening services, transforming work styles, establishing a positive image, and promoting development. Its mission is to serve as an activity center, a talent cultivation base, and a window for promoting spiritual civilization.
