Chayuan Hall

Chayuan Hall is a cultural relics protection unit at the Jinhua City level.

Chayuan Hall is located in the center of Dashuifan Village, Choujiang Subdistrict, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit in May 1987, under the announcement number Yizheng Fa [1987] No. 66, dated 1987.05.11.

Cultural value: The residence of Gong Yiqing, an imperial censor and deputy surveillance commissioner during the Ming Dynasty.

Protected area: The protected area includes the existing structures of Chayuan Hall. This encompasses the front hall, middle hall, tea room, and left and right wing rooms.

Construction control zone: A straight-line distance of 20 meters from the east wall of Chayuan Hall to the farm road; a straight-line distance of 10 meters from the south wall of Chayuan Hall to the outer side of the north wall of the residence of Gong Qingwen; a straight-line distance of 10 meters from the west wall of Chayuan Hall to the residence of Gong Minglun; a straight-line distance of 30 meters from the north wall of the tea room of Chayuan Hall to the open land to the north. These four boundary lines intersect to form a rectangular construction control zone.

Choujiang Subdistrict: Located in the southwest of Yiwu’s urban area, Choujiang Subdistrict borders Jiangdong Subdistrict across the river to the east, Futang Town to the south, Yiting Town and Chengxi Subdistrict to the west, and Choucheng, Beiyuan, and Chengxi Subdistricts to the north. It covers an administrative area of 38 square kilometers. The subdistrict administers three work zones: Jinfafa, Jiangwan, and Guantang; seven communities: Jindu, Fenghuang, Xingye, Songmenli, Changde, High-Tech, and Yongxiang; four neighborhood committees; 33 administrative villages; 389 villager groups; a local population of 48,448; a migrant population of 130,527; and 896 registered foreign residents.
