The Sixteen Cottages in Xinyuan

The Sixteen Cottages in Xinyuan are a cultural relics protection unit of Jinhua City.

The Sixteen Cottages in Xinyuan are located at No. 21, Yuanzhong Road, Xinyuan Village, Choujiang Subdistrict, Yiwu City. They date back to the Republican era and are classified as important modern historical sites and representative architecture.

They were designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit in June 2010, under the announcement number 2010.6 Yizheng Fa [2010] No. 52.

Choujiang Subdistrict: Located in the southwest of Yiwu City proper, Choujiang Subdistrict borders Jiangdong Subdistrict across the river to the east, faces Fotang Town to the south, connects to Yiting Town and Chengxi Subdistrict to the west, and adjoins Choucheng, Beiyuan, and Chengxi Subdistricts to the north. It covers an administrative area of 38 square kilometers. The subdistrict administers three work zones—Jingfa, Jiangwan, and Guantang—and seven communities: Jindu, Fenghuang, Xingye, Songmenli, Changde, Gaoxin, and Yongxiang. It also includes 4 neighborhood committees, 33 administrative villages, 389 villager groups, a local population of 48,448, a migrant population of 130,527, and 896 registered foreign residents.
