Jiucheng Hall

Jiucheng Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level by Jinhua City.

Jiucheng Hall is located at No. 1 Shangshu Fu, Dayuan Village, Jiangdong Subdistrict, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

In June 2006, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site, and in February 2018, it was further recognized as a municipal-level cultural heritage unit under announcement document No. Yizhengfa [2018] No. 9, dated February 9, 2018.

Dayuan Village is located in the eastern part of Yiwu City, at the southern edge of the Yongjin Expressway and Provincial Highway 37. It consists of 23 villager groups, with over 1,100 households and a total population of more than 2,700, making it the largest village in Jiangdong Subdistrict, Yiwu City.

In the year 1064, the founding ancestor Wu Zao served as the magistrate of Yiwu and chose to settle at the southern foot of Wusun Mountain. Since he was the eldest son, signifying “great,” and “yuan” means “first,” the place was thus named Dayuan. Later, Wu Zao became the Privy Councilor and constructed the “Privy Councilor” building in 1099.
