Jizhi Hall in Dayuan Village is a cultural heritage site protected at the Jinhua city level.

Jizhi Hall in Dayuan Village is located at No. 12-5, Shangshu Mansion, Dayuan Village, Jiangdong Subdistrict, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient building.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in December 2011 and as a municipal-level cultural heritage unit in February 2018, under the official announcement document No. Yizheng Fa [2018] No. 9, dated February 9, 2018.

Dayuan Village: Introduction to Dayuan Village

Dayuan Village is situated in the eastern part of Yiwu City, at the southern edge of the Yongjin Expressway and Provincial Highway 37. It consists of 23 villager groups, with over 1,100 households and a total population of more than 2,700, making it the largest village in Jiangdong Subdistrict, Yiwu City.

In 1064 AD, the founding ancestor Wu Zao served as the magistrate of Yiwu and settled at the southern foot of Wusun Mountain. As the eldest son, he was referred to as "Da" (meaning “big” or “eldest”), and “Yuan” means “first” or “origin,” hence the name Dayuan. Later, when Wu Zao became Minister of the Privy Council, he constructed the “Privy Council Minister’s Residence” in 1099 AD.
