Qiaotou Site in Yiwu

The Qiaotou Site in Yiwu is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jinhua City.

The Qiaotou Site in Yiwu is located at the Xiayupo Cemetery in Qiaotou Village, Chengxi Subdistrict, Yiwu City. It dates back to the late Shangshan Culture period and is classified as an ancient site. Through trial archaeological excavations, six cultural layers have been identified at the site. Artifacts unearthed include stone tools such as stone grinding plates, stone rollers, and stone hammers, as well as pottery items such as large-mouthed basins, ring-footed plates, flat-bottomed plates, double-handled jars, and bowls. Experts have determined that it is a prehistoric settlement site from the middle to late Shangshan Culture, approximately 9,000 years old, and holds significant historical and scientific value.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit in April 2013, with the official announcement number being Yizhengfa [2013] No. 29, dated April 24, 2013.
