The Twenty-Four-Room Residence in Hezhai Village is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinhua City.

The Twenty-Four-Room Residence in Hezhai Village is located at No. 13, Zhongzhong, Hezhai Village, Niansanli Subdistrict, Yiwu City. It dates back to the first year of the Xuantong era of the Qing Dynasty (1909) and is categorized as an ancient building.

The building faces south and covers a total area of 659.6 square meters. It consists of two courtyards, two side wings, two corridors, and two floors, featuring ornate five-flower horse-head walls and laid out in a traditional quadrangle courtyard style.

The front hall is three bays wide and located on the ground floor. The central bay features a wall-mounted stone-framed gate, with the lintel carved with figures from classical operas and watercolor paintings. Side lanes are accessed through alleyway doors. The rear eaves corridor features a mountain wall with a dragon-tiger gate, the lintel of which is inscribed with the phrases “National Prosperity and Family Celebration” and “Longevity and Seasonal Abundance.” The front eaves are adorned with lion-shaped bracket arms engraved with the construction date. The main hall building has two floors with a double-eave roof and consists of three bays — the central bay serves as the main hall, while the side bays function as principal rooms. The front eaves use bracket arms to support the overhang, and the front eaves corridor runs through with a dragon-tiger gate, the lintel of which is inscribed with phrases such as “Auspicious Airs Fill the Courtyard.” The side wing rooms feature front eaves corridors, with exterior eaves decorated with latticed windows. The building is relatively well-preserved, and its wood carvings and plaques are exquisitely crafted, giving it high historical, artistic, and scientific value.

In April 2013, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit, with the announcement document number being Yizheng Fa [2013] No. 29, dated April 24, 2013.
