Twin Wells of Huaxi Village

The Twin Wells of Huaxi Village are a protected cultural heritage site of Jinhua City.

The Twin Wells of Huaxi Village are located directly in front of No. 169, Block 6, Huaxi Village, Niansanli Subdistrict, Yiwu City. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, they are classified as ancient architecture.

In February 2018, they were designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site under the announcement document No. Yizheng Fa [2018] No. 10, dated February 9, 2018.

Huaxi Village: Located in the northeastern part of Yiwu, Huaxi Village lies at the foot of Wuyan Mountain, an extension of the Tianmu Mountain range. It borders Wuning in Dongyang to the east, Heyetang to the northwest, and Niansanli to the southwest, with the highway connecting Niansanli and Suxi running through the village. The village currently has 1,170 households and a population of 3,127. According to the Yu Family Genealogy, its name originates from the surrounding landscape: “With mountains and waters converging, and flowers and bamboos flourishing in beauty, it was thus named.” However, there is also another folk explanation.
