Lower Street Well

The Lower Street Well is a cultural heritage site protected at the Jinhua City level.

The Lower Street Well is located directly in front of No. 82, Block 8, Huaxi, Niansanli Subdistrict, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in February 2018 under the official announcement number Yizheng Fa [2018] No. 13, dated February 9, 2018.

Huaxi Village: Located in the northeastern part of Yiwu, Huaxi Village lies at the foothills of Wuyan Mountain, an extension of the Tianmu Mountain Range. It borders Wuning in Dongyang to the east, Hetang to the northwest, and Niansanli to the southwest. Provincial Highway Yiwu–Suxi runs through the village. The village currently has 1,170 households and a population of 3,127. According to the Yu Family Genealogy, its name comes from the description: “With mountains and waters converging around it, and beautiful flowers and bamboos flourishing, it was thus named.” However, there is another folk explanation.
