Jing Shen Hall

Jing Shen Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinhua City.

Jing Shen Hall is located at No. 40-48 Dongxi Road, Beilei Second Village, Fotang Town, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient building.

The building faces northeast and is situated southwest, featuring a three-bay main hall, with four rooms each on the left and right wing rooms and two additional layers of side wings, all consisting of two-story buildings. A front corridor runs through the structure, covering a total area of 337 square meters. The main hall is a ground-floor hall, with bracket arms on the rear eave columns, featuring moon beams and a boat-shaped roof. The lintels and rear eave columns are adorned with carvings of auspicious patterns such as lions and phoenixes. At the rear is a courtyard, with painted designs on the screen wall, bearing the date “summer month of the year of Jiawu.” The gable walls feature five-flower horse-head decorations, and a stone plaque is embedded under the eaves of the screen wall, inscribed in relief with the plaque “Accumulated Virtue Lasts Generations.” Above the stone-framed gate of the main hall, the words “Surrounded by Brocade Waters” are written in ink. The front eave columns of the north and south wing rooms are decorated with bracket arms carved with patterns of animals and fruits such as squirrels, mandarin ducks, grapes, and peaches. The side wings are asymmetrical; one side has a four-in-line with one-insert structure, while the other lacks an inserted wing, due to the constraints of the site.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in April 2013, with the announcement document number being Yizheng Fa [2013] No. 29, dated April 24, 2013.
