Cunyitang

Cunyitang is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinhua City.

Cunyitang is located at No. 14 Xijie, Beilei 4th Village, Fotang Town, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient building.

Commonly known as the Landlord’s House, Cunyitang is located at No. 14 Xijie, Beilei 4th Village, Fotang Town, Yiwu City, and was first built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. The building faces south with a compass bearing of 165°, and features three sections in depth, each with three bays, along with symmetrical left and right wing rooms. It is a two-story, four-courtyard-style compound with a central courtyard, covering a total area of 606 square meters.

The entrance hall is built along the street, with a facade of finely finished plain brick walls adorned with exquisite brick carvings and stone carvings. The central bay features a stone-framed gate, while corridor ends on both sides have alleyway doors. The main hall is three bays wide and located on the ground floor, with a decorated ceiling featuring patterns such as musical instruments, chess, calligraphy, painting, peace in all seasons, abundance year after year, guaranteed good fortune, and double blessings, installed along the front eaves corridor. The rear wall has a stone-framed gate leading to the upper-floor hall. The upper-floor hall consists of three bays: the central bay serves as the main room, the side bays are principal bedrooms, all with front corridors. The wing rooms are symmetrically arranged, eight bays plus one corridor on each side, all constructed with post-and-lintel framing, and fitted with lattice windows along the corridors.

In April 2013, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit, with the announcement document number being Yizhengfa [2013] No. 29, dated April 24, 2013.

Beilei 4th Village: Located in Fotang Town, Yiwu City, Beilei 4th Village has a population of 984 people, with an average per capita income exceeding 8,000 yuan. It is less than 5 kilometers from Fotang Town and enjoys convenient transportation.

The village has constructed roads, built office buildings, formed dance and basketball teams, purchased fitness equipment, and developed lit basketball and badminton courts. New rural development has progressed rapidly, with stable social order, peaceful community life, clean sanitation, and a beautiful environment. It has been honored as an advanced collective in the “Civilized Village with Rural Virtue” creation campaign, among other accolades.
