The Eighteen Residential Houses on Siqian Street are a cultural heritage unit protected by Jinhua City.

The Eighteen Residential Houses on Siqian Street are located at No. 110, Siqian Street Village, Fotang Town, Yiwu City. They date back to the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty and are classified as ancient architecture.

Designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in November 2013, and as a municipal-level cultural heritage unit in February 2018, with the official announcement document number being Yizheng Fa [2018] No. 9, dated February 9, 2018.

Siqian Street Village: Siqian Street Village in Fotang Town, Yiwu City, got its name because the original village site was situated along the street leading to Shuanglin, positioned in front of the temple, hence the name “Siqian Street” (literally “Street in Front of the Temple”).

The village has two camphor trees that are already 800 years old. Yiwu’s Fotang Town is a millennia-old ancient town, home to numerous Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, and Siqian Street Village is a microcosm of the town’s traditional character. Villagers say that the village was established after the temple, and the ruins of the 1,500-year-old Shuanglin Temple lie “dormant” in a reservoir just 300 meters outside the village.
