The Old Hall of Shangyang Village is a cultural heritage unit protected at the municipal level by Jinhua City.

The Old Hall of Shangyang Village is located in Shangyang Village, Chian Town, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in June 2006 and as a municipal-level cultural heritage unit in February 2018, with the official announcement number Yizheng Fa [2018] No. 9 dated February 9, 2018.

Shangyang Village: Walking through the alleys of Shangyang, beneath your feet are cobblestone-paved paths, in front of you are houses with blue bricks and black tiles, and in the air is the dust of time. As you turn this way and that, weaving through the hallways and corridors, you’ll always catch a glimpse of upturned eaves and carved beams and pillars, their colors faded like old preserved mustard greens. Villagers say that Shangyang once had 18 halls, but one was burned down and another collapsed, leaving 16 today. The oldest of these halls, the Old Hall, has a history of 800 years—quite astonishing.
