Shangxi Chen Clan Ancestral Hall

The Shangxi Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the Jinhua municipal level.

The Shangxi Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is located at No. 1 Qianzhai, Yunmen Village, Shangxi Town, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in August 1997, under the announcement number Yizheng [1997] No. 115 issued on August 11, 1997.

Cultural value: A relatively large and well-preserved ancestral hall of a family.

Protected area: The entire architectural complex of the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall.

Construction control zone: Extending 15 meters southward from the front eaves to the farmland, 3 meters westward from the west wall to the road, the east wall up to Northwest Town Road, and 7.5 meters northward from the rear wall to the front eaves wall of the residence of Chen Zihuo.

Yunmen Village: Yunmen Village is closely adjacent to the Shangxi Town area, bordering the Shangxi Town market to the south, the town central primary school to the front, the ring expressway to the back, and backed by Hangci Stream. The village currently has 369 households, a total population of 898, with a land area of 281 mu, divided into 6 villager groups. It has 32 Party members and 6 members of the village’s two committees. In 2008, the per capita income was 8,576 yuan.
