The Huating Residence at No. 29 Yongning East Street is a cultural relics protection unit of Jinhua City.

The Huating Residence at No. 29 Yongning East Street is located at No. 29 Yongning East Street, Shangxi Second Village, Shangxi Town, Yiwu City. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, it is classified as an ancient building.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in June 2006, and as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit in February 2018, under the official announcement document No. Yizhengfa [2018] 9 dated February 9, 2018.

Shangxi Second Village: As the seat of the town government, Shangxi Second Village is 15 kilometers from Yiwu International Trade City, with Provincial Highway 03 passing through the village. Since the late Southern Song Dynasty, people from Liantang, Jinhua, settled west of Lanping Pond, originally named Yuncreek. According to the "Genealogy of the Zhang Clan of Yuncreek," the area was described as mountainous, scenic, and often shrouded in mist—thus called Yuncreek ("cloud creek"). Later, as the settlement developed along a gently flowing stream where the water shaped the creek bed into a sandy bank, it was referred to as Rangxi ("yielding creek"), which eventually evolved into Shangxi ("upper creek"). Shangxi has a history of one thousand years. The village is known for its simple folk customs and a long line of talented individuals.
