Gongyao Architectural Complex

The Gongyao Architectural Complex is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinhua City.

The Gongyao Architectural Complex (including the 18-Bay Residential Building (Qianshoutang), the 16-Bay Residential Building, and the 14-Bay Residential Building) is situated at No. 8, Eighteen Bays, Gongyao Village, Yiting Town, Yiwu City; No. 28, Eighteen Bays, Gongyao Village, Yiting Town; and No. 15, Eighteen Bays, Gongyao Village, Yiting Town. It originates from the 4th year of the Republic of China and is classified as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

In June 2006, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site, and in August 2011, it was listed as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit. The announcement document number is Yizheng Fa [2011] No. 64, dated August 27, 2011.

Gongyao Village: Located in the southwest of Yiwu City, Gongyao Village under Yiting Town is five kilometers from Yiting Town and lies at the southern end of Hangchou Central Village. Backed by Huangdong Mountain and facing Zhejiang Province’s Agricultural Demonstration Zone, the village features ancient dragon kilns rising above it. From atop the kilns, visitors can gaze out over the landscape, where the southern hills serve as a natural screen, villages connect to one another, and rural scenery unfolds like a painting. Though lacking famous scenic spots, the area boasts a thousand-year history of pottery production dating back to the Song Dynasty. The meticulously carved, elegantly designed 18-Bay Residential Building stands as a true historical relic.

The village has a total population of 867, with 367 households, covering an area of 680 mu. Transportation is convenient, with the Yidi Line and Fodi Line passing through the village.
