The site of the Gongyao Dragon Kiln is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinhua City.

The site of the Gongyao Dragon Kiln is located next to No. 117, north of Gongyao Village, Yiting Town, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient historical site.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit in June 2010, with the announcement document number being 2010.6 Yi Zheng Fa [2010] No. 52.

Gongyao Village: Located in the southwest of Yiwu City, Gongyao Village in Yiting Town is five kilometers from Yiting Town. At the southern end lies the central settlement of Hangchou, backed by Huangdong Mountain and facing Zhejiang Province’s agricultural demonstration zone. In the village stands an ancient pottery dragon kiln. From atop the kiln, one can gaze into the distance where the southern mountains form a natural screen, and villages stretch into the horizon — a picturesque rural scene. Though lacking famous scenic spots, the village boasts a thousand-year history of pottery production since the Song Dynasty. Among its heritage is the exquisitely carved and elegantly structured “Eighteen Rooms,” which is considered an ancient landmark.

The village has a total population of 867, with 367 households, covering an area of 680 mu. It enjoys convenient transportation, with the Yidi Line and Fodi Line passing through the village.
