Chen Bingzhong’s Former Residence is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinhua City.

Chen Bingzhong’s Former Residence is located at No. 56, North Gangyao Village, Yiting Town, Yiwu City. It dates back to the 6th year of the Republic of China (1917) and is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection site in December 2011 and as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit in February 2018. The official announcement document number is 2018.02.09 Yi Zheng Fa [2018] No. 9.

Gangyao Village: Located in the southwest of Yiwu City, Gangyao Village in Yiting Town is about five kilometers from Yiting. It lies at the southern end of Hangchou, a central settlement, backed by Huangdong Mountain and facing Zhejiang Province’s Agricultural Demonstration Zone. The village is home to an ancient pottery dragon kiln. From atop the kiln, one can gaze into the distance where the southern mountains form a natural screen and villages connect one after another, creating picturesque rural scenery. Though it lacks famous attractions, the area has a thousand-year history of pottery production dating back to the Song Dynasty. The exquisitely carved, refined, and elegantly designed Eighteen Rooms are regarded as a historic site.

The village has a total population of 867, with 367 households, covering an area of 680 mu. Transportation is convenient, with the Yidi Line and Fodi Line passing through the village.
