Hangci Creek Bridge

Hangci Creek Bridge is a cultural relics protection unit of Jinhua City.

Hangci Creek Bridge is located on Hangci Creek, about 350 meters south of Xiantian Village in Yiting Town, Yiwu City. It dates back to the 34th year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1555) and is categorized as an ancient structure.

In May 1987, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit, with the announcement document number being Yizhengfa [1987] No. 66, dated 1987.05.11.

Cultural heritage value: It is one of the more intact and earlier-built stone slab bridges preserved within Yiwu City.

Protected area: The bridge structure itself and an extension of 10 meters at both ends.

Construction control zone: An area extending 50 meters upstream and downstream from the bridge, and 30 meters outward at both ends.

Xiantian Village: Overview of Xiantian Village

The village is situated to the west of Yiting Town, Yiwu City, approximately 15 kilometers from downtown Yiwu. It borders Xiadian Village to the east, Xiating Village to the south, Jindong District to the west, and Xilou Village to the north. The village has 137 households, a population of 346, 15 Party members, and cultivates 426 acres of arable land.

With a history of over 500 years, the ancient Hangci Creek flows gently through the village. The municipal-level cultural relic “Hangci Creek Ancient Bridge” stands proudly to the south of the village, and the majestic Zhejiang-Jiangxi electrified railway line runs through the area.
