Gangtou Eighteen Rooms Residential House (Yucheng Hall) is a cultural heritage site protected by Jinhua Municipality.

Gangtou Eighteen Rooms Residential House (Yucheng Hall) is located in the center of Gangtou Village, Dachen Town, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

The building faces south and covers an area of 551.8 square meters, featuring a traditional courtyard layout with a front hall and rear chamber arrangement. The front section consists of a three-bay ground-floor hall, while the rear section has seven chambers arranged in a row, with the central chamber serving as the main hall. There are four side chambers on each side, with front corridors featuring waist eaves. The unique and authentic exterior design of the building blends seamlessly with its surrounding environment. The roof is adorned with rolled tile floral ridges, with decorative brick carvings of chi-dragon patterns at the ridge ends. Horse-head walls stand prominently, and the building’s façade features exquisite murals and calligraphic decorations along the eave closures. Its outward appearance carries strong characteristics of its time. The bracket arms (dougong) and window and door carvings are intricately crafted, giving the structure significant historical, artistic, and scientific value.

Qijiantou is located to the north of the Eighteen Rooms and consists of five main rooms with one side chamber on each side, covering a total area of 192 square meters. It was used to house the family of the daughter-in-law of the Yucheng Hall’s principal family.

Designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in April 2013, with official announcement number Yizheng Fa [2013] No. 29, dated April 24, 2013.
