Jin Zhonghui Residence (Jin Yonghe), built during the Republic of China period at No. 103 La Jie (Old Street), Niansanli Subdistrict, was constructed by Jin Zhonghui, the owner of the renowned ham business “Jin Yonghe” in Niansanli at that time. The building faces east and covers a total area of 416 square meters. It features a front-shop-back-residence layout, with five bays along the street— the central one being a bluestone shopfront—while a stone-arched gate leads to the backyard at the rear. The shop is flanked by storage rooms upstairs, which served as living quarters. The backyard consists of an 18-room compound arranged over two courtyards, with side wings and corridors. The front section has five rooms, while the rear main hall has three rooms on the ground floor, with one room on each side, and a three-story room with a hanging gable roof in the central bay. Each side wing contains three rooms and one corridor. The structure is relatively well-preserved and integrates the functions of a shop, warehouse, workshop, reception area, and residence, making it a representative example of the fusion between commerce and domestic life during the Republic of China era.
