The Huangshengtang Residential Complex is a cultural heritage site protected by Jinhua City.

The Huangshengtang Residential Complex, Qing Dynasty

Located in the center of Huangshengtang Village, it consists of ancient dwellings such as the Wooden Hall and the Lower Hall. The Lower Hall features a finely crafted brick screen wall at the front, and is divided into three sections with three bays each, along with left and right wing rooms, covering a construction area of 1,311 square meters. The complex is notable for its exquisite stone lattice windows on the façade and intricate wood carvings inside, showcasing architectural styles from the Qianlong period. The roof ridges are adorned with decorative patterns and feature finely carved brick ornaments. The entire residential complex sits against a hillside and faces an open area, with the surrounding traditional dwellings well preserved, holding significant historical, scientific, and artistic value. Also known as the Upper Hall, the Wooden Hall is divided into three sections with three bays each and includes left and right wing rooms, covering a construction area of 1,278 square meters. It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site in 2010.
