Han Zao Kiln Site

The Han Zao Kiln Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Zhejiang Province.

The Han Zao Kiln Site is located in Han Zao Village, Yafan Town, Wucheng District, Jinhua City, and dates back to the Tang Dynasty.

According to the *Jinhua County Annals*: "The ancient kilns of the Wu Region during the Han Dynasty were situated in what is now Han Zao Village, Yafan." To this day, many relics of the Wuzhou Kiln remain in the village, and even more legends about the Wuzhou Kiln have been passed down. The brilliant culture left behind by the Wuzhou Kiln can be found all over Han Zao Village.

Han Zao Village was established in the early Western Han Dynasty and has a history of over 2,200 years. It derives its name from the world-renowned Wuzhou Kiln.

Legend has it that in ancient times, there were thirty-six dragon kilns in Han Zao Village, spread across the "Zuanlong Mountain, Tanglou Mountain, Yao Mountain, and Thirty-Six Tiger Head Mountains" within the village. Today, two relatively well-preserved dragon kilns remain, still featuring the high kiln mouths and raised kiln backs of the ancient structures.

On January 7, 2011, it was announced as part of the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites in Zhejiang Province.

Yafan Town: Yafan Town is located south of downtown Jinhua, bordering Wuyi County to the southeast, adjacent to the Wuyi River to the northeast, and facing Jiangdong Town and Duohu Subdistrict of Jindong District across the river. It neighbors Andi Town to the southwest and connects to Sumeng Township of the Jinhua Economic Development Zone to the northwest. The town is five kilometers from the city center, with the southern ring road of the urban area passing through its northern industrial zone. Two county-level roads, Qiaoling Line and Tingyang Line, run through the town. The town covers an area of 79 square kilometers, governs 37 administrative villages, 112 natural villages, and has a population of 22,000.
