Jiangnan Tianchi (Tianhuangping Power Station) Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Station is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a science education base, and a patriotic education base.

Also known as the Tianhuangping Scenic Area, it is located in the southeastern part of Anji County. It is a national industrial tourism demonstration site and a provincial-level scenic spot. It is now the world's second-largest and Asia's largest pumped storage power station. At the top of Tianhuangping is the upper reservoir of the power station. Viewed from the air, it resembles a massive alien spacecraft moored amidst the vast bamboo sea, with shimmering blue waves and sparkling water. The entire scenic area features an expansive bamboo sea, numerous streams, and abundant natural beauty. The Daxi Gorge within the power station scenic area extends 9 kilometers, with towering mountains on both sides and the Daxi River flowing at the bottom into the lower reservoir. There is also a ski resort here, which is currently the only outdoor alpine ski resort in East China, filling the gap in Jiangnan's ice and snow tourism and creating a miracle of open-air skiing in the region.

The Jiangnan Tianchi Resort is situated at an altitude of 1,000 meters on Tianhuangping. With Asia's largest Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Station and the lush bamboo-covered mountains of China's Bamboo Capital as its backdrop, it seamlessly blends the majestic water conservancy project with the pristine natural scenery, making it a renowned high-altitude tourist and leisure destination. The Anji Jiangnan Tianchi Resort offers a rich variety of activities and well-equipped facilities. It mainly consists of the Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Station, Tianchi, the Great Bamboo Sea, an astronomy science base, an adventure base, a zip line, a golf driving range, a winter outdoor ski resort, and the resort itself, integrating dining, accommodation, and entertainment to provide a comprehensive experience that keeps visitors coming back.

The Jiangnan Tianchi Great Bamboo Sea inherits the beauty of Anji’s bamboo forests but takes a unique path. Along the two-kilometer bamboo path, you can feel its freshness and simplicity. Along the way, you can rest and enjoy tea in bamboo pavilions or fish and relax at the “Jade Pool.”

The Jiangnan Tianchi Adventure Base is currently the most comprehensive and largest adventure complex in the Yangtze River Delta. The base features rock climbing, bouldering, six large combined adventure structures, and a real-life CS base. It hosts various adventure clubs and teams year-round and has organized over 100 events, successfully hosting the 3rd Zhejiang Provincial Rock Climbing Championship. It has become a “non-Olympic” base in the eyes of tourists. The Jiangnan Tianchi Adventure Base will take you on a journey to constantly challenge and surpass yourself while forging team spirit.

The Jiangnan Tianchi Ski Resort is the only outdoor winter ski resort in the Jiangnan region. With a ski area of over 60,000 square meters and a variety of snow play activities, it is a great weekend getaway for family and friends from mid-December to mid-February each year, when the snow is pristine and the landscape is blanketed in silver.

The Jiangnan Tianchi Scenic Area boasts stunning natural landscapes. Driving up the 18-kilometer mountain road, you’ll be surrounded by endless bamboo seas and occasionally spot streams and waterfalls. Ticket and Other Information:

The adult ticket price for the Jiangnan Tianchi Scenic Area starts at 80 yuan (if staying at the Tianchi Resort Hotel, you can purchase a discounted coupon for 60 yuan per person at the ticket office with your room key, valid for two days and allowing unlimited entry).

There is a sightseeing vehicle by the pool, free on weekdays and 5 yuan per person on weekends, offering a loop around Tianchi.

For skiing, it’s best to come after December 20th each year; otherwise, the artificial snow may not be ready earlier.
