This is a truly natural and magical new scenic area, where one mountain embraces nine peaks, higher in the north and lower in the south. The elliptical mountain resembles flower petals, looking like a blooming lotus. Qian Liu, the King of Wuyue during the Later Liang Dynasty, was captivated by this beautiful land of mountains and waters, and personally oversaw the construction of Longqing Nunnery — the largest nunnery in East China — nestled deep within the lotus peaks of the bamboo sea. Blessed by its spiritual location, the nunnery is known for granting worshippers' wishes, attracting a constant flow of visitors.

The scenic area is characterized by its "Four Antiquities": an age-old biological species — the century-old Chinese giant salamander; the king of ancient trees — the ginkgo; as well as ancient villages, ancient trees, ancient nunneries, and ancient creatures blending together like an old painting.
