Located at the foot of the Tianmu Mountains, Jiumu Village stands at an altitude of 820 meters and is hailed as the "First Highland Village," being the highest administrative village in Huzhou City.

Built high in the mountains, Jiumu Village has a history of 350 years. As you wind your way up the serpentine mountain road and reach the summit at over 820 meters above sea level, a pristine and tranquil small mountain village suddenly comes into view. From the edge of the village, you can gaze upon the distant undulating mountain ranges and bamboo forests that stretch like seas, while nearby, small bridges arch over flowing streams, and ancient trees frame quaint homes — it’s like stepping into a fairyland or a hidden paradise. Strolling through the village, you’ll spot historic houses scattered among the scenery. These mid-to-late Qing Dynasty residences incorporate architectural styles from southern Anhui and Zhejiang, featuring grey-tiled walls and white plaster, showcasing the unique charm of mountain dwellings.

The scenery of Jiumu Village changes beautifully with the seasons, offering views distinct from other places. In spring, flowers bloom in profusion, forming vibrant clusters; in summer, orioles flit about and birds chirp in chorus; in autumn, maple and pine rustle, and red leaves blaze like fire; in winter, rugged mountains stand proudly and twisted branches display their unyielding spirit. Throughout the year, the mountain wilds of Jiumu Village are graced with crystal-clear springs that flow perennially.

Jiumu Village is not only home to the beautiful legend of the Immortal Stone but also boasts Zhejiang North’s premier outdoor adventure base — the Jingkongli Canyon. Stretching over ten li in length, the canyon features towering mountains, long-flowing waters, lush vegetation, and a maximum elevation drop of one thousand meters. When hiking up the stream, sheer cliffs rise sharply on both sides, while various massive rocks and diverse vegetation within the stream bed are within arm’s reach. The seemingly endless, deep valley leads to unknown mysteries, adding endless excitement for adventurers.
