Anji Yong'an Temple Pagoda

Yong'an Temple Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang Province.

Yong'an Temple Pagoda is situated on the southern bank of the Xi'tiao River, 500 meters south of Majia Village in Dibu Subdistrict. According to the 12th edition of the Anji County Annals from the Tongzhi era, the pagoda was first built during the Wu-Yue period of the Five Dynasties and has a history of over a thousand years. The structure is an octagonal, ten-story solid brick pagoda with overlapping eaves, designed in the style of a pavilion tower, and stands 22.46 meters tall in total. It is composed of three parts: the base, the body, and the finial. Currently well-preserved, the pagoda features an elegant design and is one of the oldest existing ancient pagodas in the province. Its layer ridges are adorned with pottery ridge beasts stacked with tile strips — a rare sight in Zhejiang and even across China — providing important physical material for the study of ancient pagoda art from the Wu-Yue period of the Five Dynasties. In 1994, a major restoration was undertaken under the direction of the Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and the People’s Government of Anji County. From 2015 to 2018, the County Culture, Sports, and Tourism Bureau (formerly the Culture, Radio, Television, and News Publishing Bureau) took the opportunity of the “Clear Water to the Lake” project to carry out environmental improvement works around Yong'an Temple Pagoda. Today, the pagoda is surrounded by dense bamboo forests, encircled by water and mountains, offering beautiful scenery, and stands opposite another national heritage site — the Ancheng City Wall — across the river.

On October 7, 2019, Anji Yong'an Temple Pagoda was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Majia Village: Majia Village is located in the northern part of Dibu Town, at the intersection of Provincial Highway 04 and Provincial Highway 11. The village covers an area of 16.6 square kilometers, governs 19 villager groups, has 850 households, and a total population of 2,906, including 65 Party members. It currently has 1,365 mu of cultivated land, 19,160 mu of forest, and 60 mu of fish ponds. In 2012, the village achieved a total industrial output value of 1.1 billion yuan, an industrial added value of over 1.1 billion yuan, profits and taxes of 100 million yuan, with a per capita income of 18,538 yuan, and 100% participation in the rural major disease insurance program.
