Kunshan Mingjingdang Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Kunshan Mingjingdang Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. It was built around four natural lakes—Changbaidang, Mingjingdang, Chenmu Dang, and Wangyang Lake—as well as the Ludaidi Ecological Embankment and ecological retaining wall projects. It is classified as an urban river-lake type water conservancy scenic area. The scenic zone spans 32 square kilometers, including 10.78 square kilometers of water area. Through dredging, governance, dike construction, and river stabilization, the area has developed a water system rich in water resources, with interconnected rivers and lakes and comprehensive functions for water regulation and flood storage. The scenic area features a “one core, one corridor, five zones” landscape layout, integrating water conservancy development with the creation of beautiful countryside. It combines water conservancy science education, leisure vacations, and garden landscapes to create a model water conservancy scenic area that embodies harmony between people and water. The area boasts excellent water quality, rich biodiversity, and beautiful scenery, with attractions thoughtfully arranged at varying elevations. It also has profound historical and cultural significance, with sites such as the ancient kiln complex of Zhudian Village, the Chenfei Water Tomb, the Jinxi Silk String and Xuanjuan performances, and the cluster of museums in the ancient town of Jinxi, all scattered throughout the area like shining jewels.
